Are trade promotion organization incorporated in Kenya,they were established in 1985 and 1993 respectively.

Since establishment, Institute of Trade Development has made significant contribution in the area of trade development in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) region.

It's role has expanded substantially as a result of increased client demand by countries of the region. Since 1993, a number of organization from various countries have participate in the programmes offered by Institute Of Trade Development.

The countries include: Botswana, Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. 

The main goal has been to promote trade in Kenya and within Eastern and Southern Africa sub-region.

Institute Of Trade Development and sister companies achieves their goals through :

  • Training.
  • Trade policy studies.
  • Market research.
  • Trade information.
  • Dissemination and capacity building using models in business management system.
